Nutritional Modeling and Meta-Analysis

Paradox Nutrition offers comprehensive nutritional modeling and meta-analysis of previously conducted research. Feed additive companies typically conduct many research trials on their products over the years at different facilities.  The question often comes up as to why positive responses to an additive are observed sometimes but not other times.  Was there a difference in nutrition or management that affected the response?  What are the common denominators affecting responses?

With the complex nutrition models and advanced statistical programs currently available, we can address these questions.  Paradox Nutrition, LLC inputs dietary information from previous studies into an advanced nutrition model to define carbohydrate and protein fractions, amino acids, and fatty acids consumed.  Measurements of responses and variation in responses, animal descriptions, and diet information for all studies are tabulated in an Excel spreadsheet.  The data is then subjected to a pooled analysis to identify those variables contributing to responses and additionally the interactions of nutrients that contribute to the responses.  Typically, Mary Beth works in cooperation with other well-respected dairy nutritionists and statisticians to complete these meta-analysis projects.
